It Takes Time To Do It Right!

New Miniatures

After a very long period of silence caused by serious involvement in family matters we're back with some great news. Not only you can see something new from a painter you might have easily forgotten, not only you can see some of our popular painters take on a model of a new manufacturer. You also get to see a lot of pictures. You get to see new works from several painters. You will see single models, you will see dioramas, you will see vehicles, you will see units and you will see armies!

So let's rock!

You could have forgotten that there is such a painter as Hacket. But he is still here and he even presents his latest finished model: the Last Stand diorama, depicting... well, I won't spoil the surprise for you.

Then there is Slawol with this Gatling Cannon painted for MaxMini - the manufacturer. You know what to expect from Slawol: weathering, dirt, and approach taken from military modelling.

Ana also painted a model from a manufacturer that she's never painted before: Privateer Press. The model is the Epic Thagrosh - Messiah of Everblight. Obviously inspired by the official artwork, but not directly copied. Check the photos to appreciate all the fine details added to the model.

Kacpero added another model for the collection of Red Scorpions Space Marines characters he was painting for several last months. This time it's Commander Culln of the Red Scorpions. And that's not the end of his Red Scorpions project yet!

Gildor painted two models for Warhammer 40.000 and both are terminators. One is an Ultramarine Terminator, and the other is a Chaos Space Marines Terminator Lord. Do you think his painting improved since the previous paintjobs?

Nameless started a new gallery for his Kir-Danaar Eldar army, which is the subject of his Tale of Gamers project. Now you can see a Eldar Farseer with a squad of Eldar Guardians, Eldar Vyper and Eldar Jetbikes in that album. Hopefully more is still to come!

Kacper_gda added three new items to his gallery: a unit of Skaven Censer Bearers, Ogre Kingdoms Gorger, and a Dark Elf Hydra. It must be said that he keeps his usual quality on his paintjobs...

And now let's move to the largest update in today's news: Wood Elves by Rzymek. It's a big part of an army of Wood Elves, but still not the complete thing. Despite this, it's still an impressive achievement, as the miniatures are really a nice sight. Let's start with everybody's favorites, the Wardancers, and then move on to the other units in the army: Wood Elf Glade Guards, Waywatchers, Wood Elf Hero on Great Eagle, Wood Elf mounted characters, Wood Elf Glade Riders, Dryads led by Drycha, Treeman, Treekin, Warhawk Riders, some more Warhawk Riders, Lord on Great Stag and two Wood Elf Standard Bearers. In addition to these miniatures he also painted these Warhammer Quest characters: a Dark Elf Witch and an Empire Wizard. And remember these are still not all the Wood Elves!

The last thing in today's news is a bit of a curiosity. It's a small Space Marines force painted with very strict guidelines imposed by the owner. Guidelines, which in fact were limitations, because they also limited the quality of these models. They were supposed to be "black drybrushed with metal", but Rzymek decided he'd do a bit more anyway. So here is an example of the most basic Space Marine paintjobs by Rzymek: Space Marines Terminators and a Space Marines squad, two Space Marines characters and a Dreadnought. Can you see the difference between these and his other regimental paintjobs? Well, it's difficult not to see icon_smile

Take care and stay tuned for more news!

Check What Was Painted For One Manufacturer...

New Miniatures

We've got enough new stuff in the galleries for another update, so let's start!

Ana posted pictures of two versions of the same model: Layla Bint Suraya modified to look more like Talim, and another - mounted version of Layla Bint Suraya. Both were based on bases from Scibor's Monstrous Miniatures.

Demi_morgana posted pictures of his diorama titled Gone Muddin'.

Nameless painted a Private Dancer Jade and a Night Goblin Shaman, he called Oddgit Farti. Check them out, and pay some attention to the goblin, because Nameless really managed to achieve several new things with this model!

Gildor posted photos of his latest project: Napoleonic soldiers modified to look more like elves in Napoleonic uniforms. So no moustaches for them! Here is the Napoleonic Infantry and Napoleonic Cavalry and here are two leaders to lead the soldiers: one Napoleonic Leader on foot and one Napoleonic Leader on horse.

Lemartes has some interesting stuff in his gallery as well. He added three groups of Org'kka from Dwarf Tales, which were painted for the manufacturer. It's a Polish company making interesting miniatures for their own gaming system. Lemartes painted a group of Org'kka Huntas and two groups of Org'kka Bruta Brutas (here's the other group). Check the manufacturer's site to learn more about the setting and miniatures.

And now let me tell you about a special project of our several forum regulars...

 Establishing A New Tradition!

New Miniatures

Hello all. Long periods of silence between our news seem to become a kind of tradition here, so let's not waste time for introductions and move on to new miniatures in our galleries:

Let us start with Illusionrip's Uncle Meat - miniature sculpted by JAG for the new range of miniatures (coming soon). Different approach to painting blood was presented by Flameon on his Konrad von Carstein. He also painted a Demon Prince of Chaos, after which he admitted big models are not his kind of thing...

Large models never discouraged Demi_morgana, but this time the models he presents are not that big. There is a Champion of Nurgle, Chaos Sorcerer of Nurgle and an Aberration.

Another painter who likes dirtier and not not too colorful painting is Slawol. His gallery was updated with pictures of a Sigmarite Warrior Priest and Grombrindal, the White Dwarf.

Szary presents us two new paintjobs: Eltharion and a Dark Elf Lord - both pretty nice.

Lothar surprised us with new pictures in his gallery. Unfortunately small pictures don't allow us to enjoy detailed photos of this Death Jester, but the other miniatures: Lord of Change, Knights of Nurgle and their Mounted Champion of Nurgle can be seen better!

Rzymek added a nice bunch of lizardmen to his gallery, including this Saurus Oldblood, Kroxigor, Skink Priest, Salamander, Skinks, Skink Chief and Skink Chief with blowpipe. A whole army of such models must look really cool :) Then there's Kacper_gda, who shows two new paintjobs: Sorcerer of Chaos and an Ogre Butcher.

Ana painted three new miniatures: dismounted version of Layla bint Suraya (mounted version to follow), Chrys, Dragon Tamer and a River Dragon as a counterpart model for her.

Nameless keeps taking better pictures of his miniatures, which allows us to see and appreciate his works better! This time he added a new and better picture of his Dwarf Thunderlord and three new paintjobs: Lilith, Crypt Bat and Dodgy Drexel.

And the last painter featured in this update is Kacpero with his two latest paintjobs: Red Scorpions Space Marines Chaplain and a Chaos Lord from Avatars of War.

That's all for now. I just wonder how much time will pass before the next update...

This Was Planned To Go Online Today!

New Miniatures

Another week passed, but I am doing my best to be able to say: this time I managed to post the news on the planned time! So this time it's Sunday and here we are with some news from our galleries.

Let us start with Illusionrip and his new passion: garage kits. You can see yet another garage kit painted by him, almost exclusively with an airbrush. This thing is big...

But we've got many smaller minatures, too! For example Irkuck painted an excellent squad of Ultramarines Space Marines: Marneus Calgar with Retinue. If you want to see more photos of these nice miniatures, just check these photos of Marneus Calgar, his Chaplain, Company Standard Bearer, Librarian, first Terminator, second Terminator, third Terminator, fourth Terminator and finally the last Terminator. And if you still want to see more new paintjobs by Irkuck, see his version of a Night Lords Chaos Space Marine. Maybe there will be more of them one day?

Another prolific painter, Demi_morgana, experimented with a new way of taking photos. Thanks to this you can now see a new photo of his old paintjob on this Scavvy Boss and a better photo of the Mid-Nor Scourge Bearer. But it doesn't mean there are no new paintjobs in his gallery. There's a nice group of Mid-Nor Hydra Warriors and for single photos of these miniatures check these out: Here's the first Hydra Warrior, the second Hydra Warrior and finally the last Mid-Nor Dwarf from the group. Pretty cool, aren't they?

Let's move on to Slawol's gallery and yet another miniature in his dirty and weathered style: the Emperor's Champion. But if you would like to know if he hasn't forgotten how to paint cleaner miniatures - here's the proof: this Tir-Na-Bor One-Eyed Pilgrim is much cleaner and brighter than the Space Marine. But which style appeals to you more?

And now for something more unusual: Two rarely updated galleries finally received some updates! Check this Araqsalil the Skinner by Kuczek and Space Marines Veteran by Mahon out! You never know how much time passes before you see anything new from these painters ;)

The last thing in this update is Ana's repainted version of Hasslefree Miniatures' Kat. She painted the model first 4 years ago, and now wanted to improve the paintjob and make it more eyecatching. Hopefully you like the result. I do...

Thanks for your attention and see you here soon icon_smile

 Was It Worth Waiting For?

New Miniatures

Long time no see, as they say.
Yes, it's been like more than 2 weeks ago, and it was just a short update about our site being back online. So what we've got now is a lot of new miniatures to let you know about!

Good manners require that we should let ladies go first, so let us start with Ana and her limited edition Lord of Tzeentch on Disc. Take a look at the patterns on his clothes and tentacles to see what took her so much time to finish this paintjob.

Moving on to men now...
Demi_morgana is our most recognized Warmachine painter, so you should check his Privateer Press stuff, including this Soulhunter and interesting Ghost of Dire Troll. But there is also a group of German Geneticists from Darkson Designs and a Warhammer 40.000 Death Guard Terminator Lord if you're not a Warmachine or Hordes fan.

Illusionrip was not satisfied with the previous photo of his silver-winning diorama, so he decided to replace it with a new picture of the Demonic Tower. Hopefully it does more justice to this excellent piece!

A new member of the Chest of Colors group, Slawol, who has just moved there from Box of Brushes, rearranged pictures in his gallery and posted three new pictures: Maneater Paymaster (painted at the time when he was still in Box of Brushes), Archaon, Lord of End Times and Terminator Chaplain. All of them are examples of the style that Slawol is trying to develop - dirty, gritty, and not very cartoony...

Szary's female Eldar Farseer seems to be a total opposite of Slawol's style - saturated colors, bright paintjob, sharp detailing. I believe many people will love this kind of painting!

Flameon's painting seems to be something between Szary's and Slawol's styles: Check this Theoden and Deathmaster Sniktch out to see what I mean. icon_wink

Przemo painted this excellent Infinity chick for a painting competition. With this quality of painting his chances should be pretty good.... unless his rivals are well prepared for such opponents!

Szczurek also wants to enter the competition, so he chose and painted this Infinity model. Let's wait to see the opponents... But in the meantime you can check this Elf Standard Bearer and Aenur in Szczurek's gallery.

One painter who managed to escape our attention is Kacper_gda. To catch up with updates in his gallery, let me mention these models: Slaanesh Champion, the Masque, Juggernaut of Khorne, Be'Lakor, Chaos Marauder Horsemen, and other Chaos Marauder Horsemen, Tigers and Space Wolf Rune Priest.

And now something you don't get to see very often: a Dragon painted by Nameless as his entry for Iron Painter. He managed to paint this beast in 2 weeks. Impressiveachievement, isn't it?
But that's not all - he also painted Grom da Paunch of Misty Mountain and a Templar Knight from XIII Century, so you still have quite a lot to see. icon_smile

To finish this update, I would like to remind you about the 3rd CofC Miniature Exchange, which is taking place right now. Some of our members already managed to deliver their miniatures to their recipients, so we can see these works in their galleries now. Let's start with Demi_morgana, who painted this model from Scibor Miniatures, then Lemartes with his Cherub, and Gildor with Prince Imrahil.

Enjoy browsing!

 Christmas Cracker For You

New Miniatures

Holidays are coming, so I think people will have other things to do than painting miniatures. So before this merry time comes, we'd like to share a few new paintjobs with you.

Let's start with the most productive of the painters mentioned today: Demi_morgana. He painted two old (let's call them classic) Games Workshop miniatures: Heinrich Kemmler also known as the Lichemaster and Krell. If you want to see them on a special display base, check this photo of these two Undead Characters together. But Demi_morgana's gallery includes one more new model: the Black Coach made from Dracula's Carriage released by Westwind miniatures.

Kacpero shows us a better photo of his Slayer of Daemon finalist: Red Scorpions Librarian in terminator armor. But even more interesting is the other new miniature in his gallery: converted Sigvald the Magnificent. The colors are pretty uncommon for this model, but they were requested by the owner of this model to represent his PRG character.

Then we've got Ana and her Limited Edition Sorceress. You will probably wonder why some things were done in a particular way on this model. Let us explain that the sorceress is floating above the ground and her dress is made of crystal fabric. But Ana will surely tell more about it on the forum.

And the last miniature in this update is Cersei Lannister painted by Nameless. Yet another step forward in his project. Keep your fingers crossed for him icon_smile

I think it will be difficult to manage to post another update before Christmas, but stay tuned, as we'll be back very soon with something special. Call it a Christmas cracker if you wish icon_wink

 Slawol Was The Fastest...

New Miniatures

So we've got the first miniature of our Third Chest of Colors Miniature Exchange! It'd Sir Michael painted by Slawol for Yaro. But that's not the only new paintjob in our galleries!

Slawol managed to add two more new miniatures to his gallery: Protectorate of Menoth Choir Acolyte being a part of his project of painting miniatures in style inspired by John Blanche's works, and an Ogre Maneater Paymaster inspired by Beltane's version.

Ana painted Sergeant O'Donnel, a nice female military model from Euphoria Miniatures and Nameless presented this Wolf and Red diorama.

The last miniature in this update comes from Thrall, who painted this Standard Bearer of Chaos and hopes to give this miniature a new home.

Stay tuned for more, because we'll soon have something new in our galleries again!

 Benefits of Being Late

New Miniatures

Here we are with another update about news in our galleries. The first thing which will surely catch your attention is (now OOP) Rackham Chimera painted by Illusionrip. Expect to see more of his paintjobs on Rackham models in future. icon_smile

Then there's this converted Heresy Miniatures demon painted as the Devil by Nameless, who also shows us his Morrdha - Vampire Preacher.

Artur's gallery now includes photos of his latest Colonel Chenkov, and our other Warhammer 40.000 paintjobs are Rzymek's Blood Claws and Grey Hunters for Space Wolves space marines. Rzymek continues his bigger Bretonnian project, and so he painted this Grail Reliquary for that army.

Then we have something very rare: update of Lothar's gallery! This time it's this black version of winged Be'lakor, and another Be'Lakor without wings (as everybody should know red goes faster anyway icon_wink ).

Then there's a big update to Gildor's gallery - starting with this Wood Elf Lord and Dwarf Lord, including Gollum and Jedi Master Yoda, and ending with his most colorful and probably paintjob best so far - Leogante - Wings of Redemption from Andrea Miniatures.

Our delay with this update allowed me to include Ana's version of
Miranda from Hasslefree Miniatures. The dress was based on a real dress, and the miniature was a gift to the owner of that dress. There's one more nice female model to be shown soon, but you have to wait for it at least a few days...

Be'Lakor the Dark Master

 Not For Your Eyes Maybe...

New Miniatures

This time we have only a short update about new miniatures. Starting with Ana's fun project called "Peace and Love", inspired by so many things including the "King Rat" book, artistic aspect of Berlin, lack of tolerance, and mentality suffering from war experiences. The model is Rhasva Sentinel from Pegaso Models. Surely not something for everybody, pretty controversial concept and paintjob.

Then there's something much more normal for most people, especially Warhammer players: Demi_morgana's version of Krell. Yet another old model from Games Workshop. Call it a classic if you prefer icon_wink

Nameless prepared many new paintjobs but now we have only three of them in our gallery. The first of them is Shiro, the Akita Inu dog, based on Nameless' real dog. And if you prefer fantasy stuff over miniature animals, you should see this Beastlord called Slaav'bor, and Fil'maar - another Beastlord painted by Nameless.

Enjoy!

Don't Let A Sick Man Write!

New Miniatures

Being sick doesn't justify not posting this week's update. Let's try to keep it short, but there's so much to announce...

Dead finally could show us the High Elves he's been painting for a long time: Archers,Swordmasters of Hoeth, Dragon with interchangeable riders, mounted Lord and Battle Standard Bearer, Repeating Bolt Throwers, a mounted Mage, Hero and Battle Standard Bearer on foot, who can also be mounted on Tiranoc Chariots or a Lion Chariot of Chrace.

Then there's Rzymek and his: Dwarf Bolt Thrower and Stone Thrower, Lizardmen Skinks and another unit of Skinks, Kroxigor, Saurus Temple Guard and another unit of Saurus Temple Guard, Bretonnian King Louen Leoncoeur, Hero, Battle Standard Bearer, Duke, and an unusual version of the Green Knight painted as a regular Hero.

While we're at Bretonnians, let's show this Bretonnian Battle Standard Bearer by Lemartes, which won him an honorable mention at Slayer of Daemon contest. Then we have one more Warhammer Fantasy miniature: Heinrich Kemmler - the Lichemaster by Demi_morgana.

Moving on to Warhammer 40k we need to mention Artur's Brother Captain Stern of Grey Knights, and Thrall's version of Huron Blackheart. Then let's move to some stranger things icon_wink

The strangest thing must be the fact that I managed to finish another miniature! This one took at least 5 years (most of it spent waiting in a drawer, but it also counts) but at least you can see that Mahon is still painting... Here's the proof: a Templar of Day from Reaper Miniatures.

Another less popular model is a new miniature from Euphoria Miniatures: Nikolai, the ex-marine painted by Ana and awarded with Bronze trophy at the Slayer of Daemon contest. But it's not the last mini for this update! We finally managed to take acceptable photos of Ana's Chaos Dragon, a Golden Demon finalist from Germany. If you want to see this dragon from other angles, you can see more photos here.

Enjoy!
